Men Request More Fashionable Medical Scrubs and Nursing Scrubs

Many medical and nursing scrubs companies have added a new line of scrubs to their collection - men's scrubs. Nursing scrubs manufacturers worldwide have received requests from medical personnel around the globe to help men look better at work.

Because medical uniform retailers should always take into consideration the requests that come in from hospital staff, nurses, doctors, dentists, veterinarians, and anyone in the medical field who is required to wear nursing scrubs and/or medical scrub hats, many small companies have began manufacturing their own medical scrubs. For example, looking at current fashion outside of medicine, a small Austin-based company decided upon a slightly flare-legged, slimming scrub bottom that sat lower on the hips, similar to 7 for All Mankind low rise jeans.

Taking into consideration that rarely do women wear jeans with just one pocket in the back, the scrubs company placed two stitched pockets on the backside, which immediately created a leaner look than other scrubs. And, rather than the unflattering elastic waist-band, they added a coordinating ribbon that ties at the waist. Designing the nursing scrub top was simple - a tapered shirt for women always looks better than a boxy shirt, and with one stitched pocket on the upper left-hand side of their flattering scrub top, they released their first line of medical scrubs, now known as Original scrubs. The first color, ceil blue, was so popular that navy, black, and grey were quickly added. While watching many scrubs companies add new colors almost quarterly, men have realized that they were being neglected in medical fashion.

The design process for the specialty men's medical scrubs took almost a year to complete. But finally, the men's scrubs bottoms now feature a low rise pant and also are made with the same soft, wrinkle-resistant fabric that is also used for the women's designer nursing scrubs. With one pocket in the back and a classic white tie in the front, the scrub pants are bound to turn heads. Men may not care for stitching and a tapered top, so the pocket on the top left-hand side of the shirt is sans stitching and the scrub top is not tapered. Even without the stitching, these medical scrubs are still more fashionable than the hospital scrubs that are currently available through other companies.

After finally releasing scrubs for men, many nursing scrubs manufacturers found that their fashionable men's scrubs were out of stock almost immediately. The once small hospital uniform company wasn't sure how the line would do once it was made available through the website. However, they began receiving both compliments and requests. Many men have expressed interest in having the custom-stitched pockets, so this is something that may be offered in the future, along with expanding the currently available colors. Grey is the most popular color for men's scrubs. The design teams are always working hard, trying to keep up with the demand. Rumor has it that the next product release from small specialty scrubs companies will be a special line of nursing scrubs made specifically from the requests of nurses who love the designer scrubs, but also need strategically-placed pockets at the bottom of the scrub top.

Urth Skin Solutions for Men Scrub Review

Urth Skin Solutions for Men Scrub is designed as a deep cleansing scrub that gently scrubs away dead skin cells and blackheads. It also improves skin texture and unclogs pores. Urth Scrub is packed with herbal extracts, essential oils and vitamins to leave your skin feeling moisturized, revitalized and renewed.

I've used facial scrubs before to help rid my face a dead skin cells and blackheads that sometimes form on my nose. But most of the ones I've tried were way too intense for my dry skin and felt as though the abrasive ingredient was 60 grit sandpaper. Most of them left I face feeling raw instead of renewed. So for a while I shied away from face scrubs, opting to use face washes instead. But when the owner of Urth Skin Solutions for Men recommended I try there face scrub and see how I like it, I was definitely game to give it a try.

The Urth Scrub intrigued me because it is unlike any facial scrub that I've seen before. Not too many facial scrubs have all natural ingredients like Green Tea, Rice, Walnut Shell Powder, Wheat Germ and Lavender oil just to name a few. Quite the lineup!

So I opened up the tub of Urth Face Scrub and opened the protective seal. Immediately I noticed that it has a rich earthy green color to it, almost like facial mask. You can see just by looking at it that is packed with tiny scrubbing pieces that are made up of walnut shell powder. The next thing I checked for was the scent of Urth's Scrub. To my delight it had a clean earthy scent with a mild hint of menthol.

So I wet my face with warm water help open my pores as the directions stated. I used my finger to get about a dime sized amount and placed the scrub in the palm of my hand. I used three fingers to apply it to my face and buffed it into my face and neck in a circular motion as described in the instructions.

While applying the scrub there was no doubt that Urth was not stingy with the abrasive ingredient. I could feel the abrasive ingredient all over my face even though I only applied a very small amount.

By the time I had applied it to my face and neck I noticed that I only used a third of the dime sized amount I had in my palm. I thought that I would have to use a whole lot more of the Urth Scrub to cover my entire face and neck, but that was not the case. I can tell from the amount that I needed to use for one application that Urth Scrub goes a very long way. I would venture to guess that a 4 ounce tub of Urth Scrub would last at least six months to a year using it two to three times a week as is recommended.

The next step was to rinse my face and see how it felt. I was a little worried that it might not rinse cleanly as it is a rich and creamy scrub, but with only a few handfuls of water splashed onto my face the scrub had rinse completely away. A big plus in my book!

So now on to the important part. How did Urth??s facial scrub leave my face feeling? Smooth, Soft, Refreshed and Clean are all words that come to mind. I was a little worried that the scrub would leave my face a little dry after I used it. But after thoroughly scrubbing my face, rinsing it off and drying it, my face felt wonderful. It was not dry in anyway, it felt silky smooth and extremely soft. To be one hundred percent honest I have used face washes that have left my skin dry, and for a scrub with an abrasive ingredient to leave my face feeling moisturized is astonishing.

In conclusion I have to say that Urth Face Scrub is the best facial scrub I have ever used to date. Urth uses some of the highest quality ingredients known to men??s skin care and formulated them into an ultra premium scrub that will leave your face feeling exfoliated, clean, soft and moisturized. It will also remove any dead skin cells that can cause your face to look dull and blah.

I would definitely recommend Urth scrub wholeheartedly to each and every one of my customers. With how great it works and how little you have to use the scrub will be extremely hard to beat by anyone. Now I know why it flies off of the shelves. Great Job Urth!!!

P.S. Looks like we are missing one tub from our inventory. I wonder how that happened:-).

Finding Medical Scrub Uniforms That Fit

If you're in the medical field, you may spend more time in your medical scrub uniforms than out of them. You need scrubs that are comfortable for long shifts, but also scrubs that make you feel good about yourself while you're on the job, and ill-fitting medical scrub uniforms won't fit the bill. Some medical professionals have one go-to brand that they know fits best, but others may have a harder time finding that perfect fit in medical uniform scrubs.

With many scrubs retailers in the online world, you often don't get a chance to try before you buy. This article will provide tips on finding the perfect set of medical uniform scrubs to fit your body type when purchasing from an online scrubs retailer. You can do this with a few simple tools and by looking at some of your favorite clothing in your existing wardrobe, and if you don't have measuring tape, that won't be a problem, either.

First, the fabric of the scrubs should be something that you're comfortable in. Look at your favorite out-of-work wear, and take a peek at the tags to see what kinds of fabrics make up those pieces. It's likely that with the wide variety of medical scrubs uniforms on the market you can find something similar, and many online scrubs retailers will list the fabric types in the medical uniform scrubs description.

Next up, it's time to get to measuring. If you don't own measuring tape, a piece of string or yarn and a marker will work just fine. Picture an hourglass to remember the correct way to measure: fullest, slimmest, fullest. Wrap the measuring tape or piece of yarn around the fullest part of your bust while you're wearing undergarments you'd likely wear with scrubs. If you're using yarn or string, wrap it around and either keep the place with your finger or mark it with a marker, and then compare that length of yarn to a ruler or yardstick. A yardstick works best. Record your bust measurement.

Now it's time for the waist measurement. Measure at the thinnest part of your waist, and record that number. For hips, it's back to measuring the fullest part, so wrap the measuring tape or yarn around the widest part of your hips and record that number, as well.

For scrub pants, length is important, because you don't want the scrub hem dragging on the hospital floor, but you don't want to look like you're ready for a flood, either. You can find the right length by measuring your inseam. Choose your favorite scrub pants or even a favorite pair of jeans, and measure down the inside seam from just below the crotch to the hem of the chosen pants. That will be your inseam measurement.

Now you have the numbers you need. Check out online scrubs retailers. Each medical scrub uniforms manufacturer has somewhat different sizing, and good online retailers will provide sizing charts for each brand they carry. Compare the numbers you have to the sizing charts for the different brands of scrubs, and also keep the fabric choices in mind. If your measurements for bust, waist and hips are 39-32-43, respectively, you'd likely be a size large in IguanaMed scrubs, for example. Certain online sellers will also give you other measurements, such as center back length, the length of the garment from the top center of the back neckline to the bottom of the hem. This measurement will give you and idea of where the scrub top will hit on your hips.

Some online scrubs retailers will also give you pointers on how the scrubs fit, and whether they're meant to be baggy or more form-fitting. Take note of those suggestions so you're not surprised when the medical scrub uniforms arrive at your door.

By taking a few minutes to get the correct measurements, you may find that dream set of scrubs that you've been seeking.

What Color Are Your Uniforms Scrubs?

If you are a medical professional, odds are pretty good that you wear a pair of scrubs to work every day. As the days, weeks and years of wearing your uniforms scrubs wears on and on, you could tend to get a little fed up with the same old type of scrubs. Well as luck would have it, scrubs nowadays are becoming more and more fashionable. There are more and more styles, colors and patterns to choose from, making your daily uniform wearing a little more bearable.

If you are one of the lucky medical professionals that get to actually choose what color of scrubs you get to wear, then the options are limitless. The only question you have to ask yourself is: what is my style? You may see yourself wearing a leopard print scrub top. Or you might fall on the more conservative type and would rather wear a pair of scrubs with a less loud motif, such as polka dots or flowers. If those patterns don't jump out at you, you could choose rather to wear a pair of scrubs that have a paisley or butterfly pattern. Whatever your style may be, there are many different styles to choose from when it comes to choosing a set of patterned scrubs.

If you prefer to wear a solid set of scrubs, there are many options to choose from as well. Scrubs are offered in a wide range of colors from coral, turquoise, light blue, yellow and even eggplant. If you want pair of scrubs with a little more style, they have solid scrubs with detailed trim and stitching. You could purchase a set of brown scrubs with pink trim. Or you could even buy a set of scrubs with an embroidered waistline. They have scrubs that have ruffle trim or even a mock wrap neck. If you are looking for something that is a little plainer but still has style, they have scrubs that have an empire waist.

When it comes to shopping for pants, we all know that that is not an easy task, so let's also not forget about the different styles of scrubs pants as well. If you don't like the way you look in traditional scrubs, you now have more options. You can purchase scrub pants that are boot cut or flare leg. You can purchase the regular old drawstring scrubs or you can even buy a set of cargo pants. They even have scrub pants that look like they are a pair of colored jeans rather than cotton scrubs.

If you are looking for a set of more unique scrubs, then be sure to check out a scrub catalog. You might just be surprised at what you will find out there. There are numerous places for you to purchase your scrubs, so make sure you find the right pattern and style that suite your needs. When it comes to actually wearing your stylish scrubs to work, make sure to mix and match the style of your shirt with the style of your pants. You will have many more options this way when it comes to looking in your closet.

Mary Jo Catlett, Willow Geer to star in Colony Theatre's BELL, BOOK & CANDLE - Broadway World

Mary_Jo_Catlett_Willow_Geer_to_star_in_Colony_Theatres_BELL_BOOK_CANDLE_20010101

The Colony Theatre Company is thrilled to present its third and most magical production of its 36th season, BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE, written by John Van Druten and directed by Richard Israel (Merrily We Roll Along), making his Colony Theatre directorial debut. BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE will preview on Wednesday, October 20; Thursday, October 21; and Friday, October 22 at 8:00pm and will open on Saturday, October 23 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, November 21 at The Colony Theatre, 555 North Third Street (at Cypress) adjacent to the Burbank Town Center.

Before there was Bewitched, before Wicked and Harry Potter, there was BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE. Gillian is a beautiful witch living in 1950s New York City who is smitten with her handsome upstairs neighbor. She casts a little spell, and he is immediately and completely captivated by her. But Gillian must be careful - if she falls in love with him, she could lose her magical powers forever. Will she be undone by her own mischief? A frothy and spellbinding romantic comedy, Bell, Book and Candle shows that love might be the most bewitching spell of all.

The award-winning Colony Theatre Company was founded in 1975 as a 99-seat Equity-waiver theatre in Silver Lake. Over the years the company was so successful artistically, and built such a large subscriber base, that in 2000 it was able to move into a 270-seat theatre created for it by the City of Burbank, becoming one of only 5 mid-size professional theatres in the LA area that produce a year-round season of plays and musicals, and that employ actors under contract with Actors' Equity Association.

Since the move to Burbank, The Colony was named one of "25 Notable U.S. Theatre Companies" by the Encyclopedia Britannica Almanac for 8 years in a row and voted "Best Live Theatre in LA" in The Daily News 2006 Readers' Choice poll. The company's audience is so loyal that in an era when subscription is declining dramatically, and when the industry-wide "gold standard" renewal rate of 80% is considered unattainable, for the past two seasons The Colony has achieved a subscription renewal rate over 90%.

ABOUT THE CREATIVE TEAM

John Van Druten (Playwright) is primarily known as a witty, urbane observer of modern society. He was born in London in 1901 and originally planned a career in law, which he practiced and taught for a time, before pursuing a career as a writer. He first came to prominence in London in 1925 with Young Woodley and enjoyed tremendous success in the 1930s with star-studded West End productions of his work including Diversion (1928), After All (1929), London Wall (1931), There's Always Juliet (1931), Somebody Knows (1932), Behold, We Live (1932), The Distaff Side (1933) and Flowers of the Forest (1934). Van Druten later emigrated to America where he became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1944. His best-received American works were The Voice of the Turtle (1943), which ran for three seasons in New York and was later filmed with Ronald Reagan; I Remember Mama (1944), later filmed with Irene Dunne and Barbara Bel Geddes; Bell, Book and Candle (1950), later filmed with Kim Novak and James Stewart; and I Am a Camera (1951) which together with Christopher Isherwood's short stories Goodbye to Berlin formed the basis of Joe Masteroff's book for the Kander and Ebb musical Cabaret in 1966. In additional to playwriting, van Druten directed the last nine productions of his own plays, and in 1951, he directed the first production of The King and I, which ran for 1,246 performances on Broadway. He published two novels: a version of Young Woodley (1928) and The Vicarious Years (1955), along with two autobiographies: The Way to the Present (1938) and The Widening Circle: Personal Search (1957). Van Druten died at Indio, California, in 1957.

RICHARD ISRAEL (Director), one of the most respected and prolific directors in Los Angeles, makes his Colony Theatre debut with Bell, Book and Candle. He is the recipient of the L.A. Drama Critics' Circle Milton Katselas Award for Career Achievement in Directing, and is proud to serve as the Co-Artistic Director for Hollywood's West Coast Ensemble Theatre His directing credits include the critically-acclaimed West Coast Premiere of Anita Bryant Died For Your Sins, the Los Angeles Premiere of Big: The Musical, Stephen Sondheim's Assassins (LA Weekly Award Nominations for Direction and Outstanding Musical, LADCC Award for Musical Ensemble), David Lindsay Abaire's Wonder of the World, and Adam Guettel's Floyd Collins (Backstage Garland Award for Direction), all for West Coast Ensemble. Richard also directed Jeanine Tesori's Violet for Musical Theatre Guild, and Big River, 1776 (LA Weekly Award Nomination for Direction and Outstanding Musical), and Leading Ladies for Actor's Co-op. His recent directing credits include Merrily We Roll Along at The Actor's Co-op, High Spirits for Musical Theatre Guild, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels for Interact Theatre Company. Prior to these projects, he directed A Christmas Carol and A Grand Night For Singing (both for the Norris Theatre) and Meet Me In St. Louis for Musical Theatre West.

After playing the title role in the southeastern premiere of Wendy Wasserstein's Third at Atlanta's Horizon Theatre, Will was cast in the pivotal role of Mordred in The Pasadena Playhouse's production of Camelot earlier this year. Most recently, he received universal acclaim in The Theatre @ Boston Court's landmark production of The Twentieth Century Way, which was invited to the New York Fringe Festival and won the award for Outstanding Production of a Play. He is proud to be making his Colony Theatre debut.

Mary Jo Catlett (Aunt Queenie) has been delighting audiences for nearly five decades with memorable, award-winning performances in film, TV, and on stage. She made her Broadway debut in 1963 in Along Came a Spider and went on to appear on Broadway in the original cast of Hello, Dolly!, Canterbury Tales, and the acclaimed revival of The Pajama Game. Mary Jo's most popular work of late has been that of Mrs. Puff in the animated TV series and feature film SpongeBob SquarePants.

WILLOW GEER (Gillian) represents the third generation of a theatrical family, as she is the daughter of actress Ellen Geer and the granddaughter of the legendary Will Geer. She returns to The Colony after playing the title role in George Bernard Shaw's Candida last year. She is a lifelong company member of the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga Canyon where she has appeared in countless productions, most recently as Ophelia in Hamlet, Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Constance in an original adaptation of The Three Musketeers. She has toured internationally singing with The Bird and the Bee and has appeared locally at The Odyssey Theatre and the Independent Theater Company while picking up numerous television, film, and voice over credits along the way. She holds a BA in theatre from UCLA and has studied at the London Academy of Theatre and Globe Theatre in London.

BENTON JENNINGS (Sidney Redlitch) has appeared on stage in over 100 roles nationally and internationally, including Shakespearean plays, national tours, musicals, and much more. His extensive film credits include Mr. & Mrs. Smith, An American Carol, In Her Shoes, and The Last of the Mohicans, with leading roles in the independent films How Henri Came to Stay, Highway to Hell, and Macon County War. His long list of television credits includes Big Love, Scrubs, Dexter, Greek, The League, Without A Trace, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, JAG, Passions, and The Drew Carey Show, and he is a series regular in the hit webseries comedy Safety Geeks: SVI.

MICHAEL A. NEWCOMER (Shep) has established himself as one of the most versatile actors in Los Angeles theatre in recent years, and he returns to The Colony after appearing earlier this year in Celadine. His other recent productions include leading roles in The Playboy of the Western World and Crime and Punishment, both at A Noise Within, The Heiress at South Coast Repertory, and The Manchurian Candidate with The Production Company. Michael spent two summers at The Old Globe Summer Shakespeare Festival performing in Macbeth, Titus Andronicus, A Midsummer's Night Dream, A Comedy of Errors, Othello, and A Winter's Tale. He has appeared extensively at major regional theatres across the country including Portland Center Stage, Alliance Theatre, Virginia Stage, Dallas Theatre Center, Actor's Theatre of Louisville, A Contemporary Theatre, Intiman Theatre, and the historic Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C.

BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE has assembled an award-winning design team. The Scenic Design is by Stephen Gifford (LA Weekly Award, Lady). The Lighting Design is by Luke Moyer (Ovation Award, Dracula). The Costume Design is by Sharon McGunigle (Ovation Award, Alice in One-Hit Wonderland). The Sound Design is by Cricket S. Myers (10-time Ovation Award nominee). Nursing Scrubs: One-stop-window Guide

WHAT EXACTLY IS NURSING SCRUB?

Nursing scrub means the different types of equipment used in the medical institutions. This article aims at providing a one-window stop for any person wishing to find anything about nursing scrub. Significantly, even the web does not have a proper answer to the queries pertaining to nursing scrub.

A nursing scrub is a vital means to bring in hygiene in the hospitals. Nursing scrub is used for disinfecting purposes either before or after any operation process. The term nursing scrub is a combination of two terms, viz., nurse and scrub. Hence, it would be pertinent to first know the various meanings of these two terms. It would also be helpful to also trace the roots of these two terms.

MERCANTILE VALUE OF NURSING SCRUBS

In the recent times, various companies have come up to manufacture, and market the nursing scrubs. Taking into consideration the immense potential market for nursing scrubs and its never saturating prospect, nursing scrub manufacturing and marketing have combined to form a viable industry.

SURFING FOR NURSING SCRUBS

When one surfs the internet for the nursing scrubs, one will definitely get the feel of the huge mercantile impact of this ancillary medical sector. Be it the quality or the material or the price, one would have to patiently log on to the different sites dealing with nursing scrubs to get the best among them. Of course, patience will ultimately pay off. You would ultimately lay your hands on the reasonably priced quality nursing scrubs.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF NURSING SCRUB

Nursing scrubs vary in shape, size, color and material. Nursing scrub can be a simple safety pin and can also be a pair of scissors or a pair of gloves for that matter. The only connecting links among these various nursing scrubs are that they are sterilized and ready to use.

WHERE TO FIND NURSING SCRUB

The internet is the ideal place to find for answers to immense queries of mankind. However, with reference to nursing scrub, the different sites provide very limited scope. One can, of course, find the lists of various sites selling with the nursing scrubs or their prices. But then, one has to keep on constantly move form one site to another to seek the apt answer. This becomes rather tedious and cumbersome. Nonetheless, the internet can definitely give you the best one-stop window to select the best nursing scrubs.

EASY STEPS TO SELECT THE BEST NURSING SCRUB OUTLET

Here are 10 easy steps to clinch an ideal deal with an online nursing scrub outlet.

First, make a list of the types of the nursing scrubs you require.

Second, select the ideal materials for the nursing scrubs.

Third, chalk out the appropriate colors or the combination of colors.

Fourth, finalize the customization you would opt for. While deciding on the above factors, ensure that the designs are not too extravagant. The outlook should be that the nursing scrub is comfortable to the user and also psychologically soothing to all.

Fifth, spend some time cross-checking the many websites that offer the world with reference to the nursing scrub.

Sixth, shortlist those websites that have less gestation periods while delivering the consignments. Obviously, you cannot wait for ages waiting for the nursing scrubs to reach your doorstep.

Seventh, see that you are not taken for a ride. Talk out the possibilities of having a long-term business tie-up with the nursing scrub marketing company.

Eighth, delve deep into the intricacies of the business (especially if it is foreign company) and find out if you would be a gainer by ordering the consignments directly from the manufacturing unit instead of the marketing wing. In this way, you will be able to cut down on the commission cost that is inevitably deducted from the customer. Doubly check out the ancillary or hidden costs that may later turn out to be sources of headache for you.

Ninth, insist on an undertaking from the company to bear the excess costs that may be emanating consequent upon any delay in the delivery process. It always pays to be cautious prior to the closing of the transaction. If the deal can be via the VPP process, it would be ideal for you. Under this arrangement, you will have to pay the money after the consignments arrive at your office.

Last but not the least, leave some spaces for exigencies. Let the dealer know that the customization may have to be changed subsequently. Go for the deal only if the other party agrees to such a later possibility.

Happy nursing scrub deal!

Scrubs Every Girl's Name to JD from Dr. Cox (Series 4 & 5)

Edit: 1 Million Views! Thanks so much guys :) - Also the 2nd Most Watched Scrubs Fanvid! To watch in higher quality, add "&fmt=18" to the YouTube code.

Definitely one of my harder vids to make. It's not brilliant (look at me trying to promote my works), but it's the best I could do.

The names are mostly in order from series 4-5 although there're a few slightly out of place to make it sound better. I think I got all of them, but please message me if I missed any (only the names rather than the feminine references). I'm aware I missed out Spider-girl, but that was due to the audience laughter (unfortunately) and wouldn't fit in anywhere.

Enjoy! :D

Unfortunate Misses:

Rosalita
Phillis
Nancy (another one)
Spider-Girl
Dorothy (again in the same episode)
Paula (can't believe no one noticed this in over a year)

So Many Nursing Scrubs, So Many Choices - How to Find the Perfect Set of Nursing Scrubs

If you are in the market for a new set of nursing scrubs, you will find a multitude of scrub manufacturers begging you to sport their hospital uniforms. Many people do not consider that doctors, nurses, and other medical personnel wear scrubs in the same manner that some of us wear jeans or suits and ties to work. What we wear, as we all know, can boost self-esteem, create smiles, and keep us comfortable, all the while maintaining our professionalism. With all of the choices for nursing scrubs out there, how does someone go about making an important decision such as which scrubs to wear every single day for 12 hours per day? Keep reading and we will give you some helpful hints on how to find the perfect set of medical scrubs.

The first step in finding your perfect set of hospital scrubs is to know what you want. Is there a particular color that you like or that you have to wear in your department? Do you need solids or pediatric prints? Do you prefer the pocket of the scrub top to be down by your hips or up top? Do you like cargo scrub pants or traditional? Drawstring waist or elastic? As you can see, it can be very overwhelming. Take a few moments to narrow it down.

While you are thinking about colors and styles, your next step is to think about what you are willing to spend. Although scrubs are fairly simple, usually a poly-cotton blend, and not very fashionable, you may want to consider raising the bar. Take a look at blue sky scrubs. They have taken medical scrubs up a notch, making the scrub pants boot-cut, low-rise, with fancy stitching, and the best material available. Their scrub tops are A-line and tapered to slim the waist where other scrubs fail. blue sky scrubs are not discount scrubs, they are not cheap scrubs, and they are definitely worth the few extra dollars. You would spend $50-$100 on a pair of jeans...so why not spend $60 on a set of scrubs that will make you feel great about yourself while you are at work? Do you really think that those dreaded 'one size fits most' scrubs make you look and feel your absolute best? And isn't it important to feel your best when caring for your patients?

We have now pinned down color, style, and possibly manufacturer. While we are on the topic of manufacturing, it might be a good idea to find out from where your scrubs are coming. Because the economy has slumped (and even when it hasn't), you may want to consider buying only products that are made in the USA. You are not only getting the best quality nursing scrubs available, but you are also, in a sense, helping out a fellow American. The people behind the scenes of American-based companies are hoping that you will love their scrubs.

We are now ready to shop for medical scrubs online! Here is where it gets tricky. There are so many companies reaching out for YOU. Keep in mind the three important things: color and style, spending budget, where the scrubs are made. Do a search for medical scrubs, nursing scrubs, or scrubs. Visit a few sites, take a look at the pictures, peek at the prices, and read the "About Us" pages. Keep your eye out for a scrub company that you believe will take care of you as an individual, be of the best quality and design, offer fast and inexpensive shipping, and guarantee their products. One more time, I highlight blue sky scrubs as an example. Their products are top-of-the line when it comes to quality. But how is their customer service? blue sky scrubs will bend over backwards to ensure customer satisfaction. Because they are a local scrub business (in the United States), I feel more comfortable knowing that I can show up at their warehouse if I am not satisfied. However, I have never had that problem. Any time I have contacted blue sky scrubs, I get a quick and knowledgeable response from a real person. There is no automated "person" who will "help us to better direct this call..." These are things that are very important when choosing your scrub designer.

Best of luck to you when searching for those perfect, fashionable scrubs! Oh, and don't forget to purchase your medical scrub hats, medical coats, and medical accessories while you are at it! We will go over how "the (medical scrub cap) Pony design killed the bouffant" another day.

Sir Robert Mark - Telegraph.co.uk

Mark's paramount concern was that Scotland Yard should maintain its autonomy, and that the police themselves should handle complaints against the force – or service, as it was by then becoming known. Although far from dyed-in-the-wool "old school", Mark believed in police inviolability, arguing that freeing them from political or bureaucratic interference was essential to the preservation of democracy.

"The police must not even seem, in dealing with industrial disputes or political demonstrations, to reflect the wishes of the government of the day," he wrote in his memoirs, published in 1978. "Their manifest impartiality is their most priceless asset."

Mark's views on the handling of complaints against the police were at odds with those of Roy Jenkins, the Home Secretary who had first appointed him. Faced with growing evidence of police misconduct, Jenkins insisted that complaints should be investigated by an independent body, enjoying public confidence.

Mark indignantly insisted that what was proposed would undermine police discipline and compromise effective investigation. When the bill was enacted, Mark resigned rather than administer legislation that he could not accept.

Robert Mark was born on March 13 1917 in the Manchester suburb of Chorlton-cum-Hardy, the youngest of five children. His father prospered in the clothing trade, but when the family moved to a bigger house, Robert saved his bus money by walking to and from William Hulme's Grammar School. Although undistinguished academically, he became captain of rugby and head prefect.

His first job as a carpet salesman bored him, and in 1937 he applied to join the Manchester city police, to the dismay of his father who protested that it was only one step better than going to prison. Released for military duties in 1942, he trained at Sandhurst and was posted to 108 Tank Brigade. He then transferred, thanks to the influence of his elder brother James at the War Office, to a more exciting role with the Phantom (GHQ Liaison) Regiment, which liaised with specialised commando teams. At the end of the war Mark found himself, as an ex-policeman, promoted to staff captain and posted to the military government in Germany, where he remained until his demobilisation in 1947 in the rank of major.

Back in Manchester, working in Special Branch as a detective sergeant, Mark toyed with leaving the police. But a series of rapid promotions landed him in the chief constable's office as chief superintendent in charge of administration, younger than the youngest inspector in the force.

When Mark's application for the assistant chief constable's job at Newcastle-upon-Tyne was rejected, he enrolled for a course at the Police College, the only one he attended in his 40-year police career. "I must be the classic example," he recalled, "of the man who beat the system."

On New Year's Day 1957, Mark took over as chief constable of Leicester. Dropped off in his new Ford Consul by his brother (Mark had yet to learn to drive), he was startled to discover that under the genial rule of his predecessor, staff at police headquarters went home for lunch. Abolition of such domestic excesses was followed by more visible reforms; in 1961, to general acclaim, Mark cancelled an order for hundreds of parking meters and instead established a corps of traffic wardens administering a fixed penalty system.

Following the escape of the Soviet spy George Blake from Wormwood Scrubs in 1966, Mark served on Lord Mountbatten's inquiry into prison security. It was on his return from a visit to Dartmoor amid the clamour caused by another escape – that of Frank "Mad Axeman" Mitchell – that Jenkins offered Mark the post of assistant commissioner at the Met. Mark was appointed deputy to Sir John Waldron the following year, and Commissioner in 1972.

In November 1969 The Times had exposed corruption in the Met's CID of such an astonishing scale that one leading criminal lawyer likened it to catching the Archbishop of Canterbury in bed with a prostitute. Mark said the story "rocked the Metropolitan Police to its foundations".

The implications were still reverberating when, in February 1972, the Sunday Mirror disclosed that the Flying Squad's commander, Kenneth Drury, had been on holiday in Cyprus with a Soho businessman and celebrated villain called Jimmy Humphreys. Drury, suspended and forced to resign, was eventually jailed for eight years for corruption. Within a matter of weeks, Mark, with his provincial pedigree and reputation as "Mr Clean", took charge of the biggest and most complex police force in Britain.

Mark's famous observation that "a good police force is one that catches more crooks than it employs" was matched by drastic action. He set up A10, a criminal investigation branch within the Yard. Mark had discovered that the existing anti-corruption squad was headed by a policeman who was himself corrupt. Det Ch Supt Bill Moody, doubling as head of the obscene publications squad, had been extracting protection money from Soho pornographers; he was jailed for four years.

Mark's efforts, at a moment of deep shame for the Met, encouraged the honest majority within the force, and resulted in the resignations of several hundred detectives. But Operation Countryman, one of the biggest and longest investigations ever into police corruption, failed to stop the rot; and Mark's premature departure in 1977 was followed by a series of scandals that suggested to the public that half the detectives in London were on the take.

Mark's reign as Commissioner coincided with heightened terrorist activity in the capital, particularly from the Provisional IRA. In 1975 alone 10 people were killed and 169 injured in a total of 29 bombings and other incidents. These included the Balcombe Street siege, in which a gang of IRA gunmen – "four seedy, cowardly degenerates", as Mark later described them – took a couple hostage at their flat in Marylebone. Mark took personal command and put the SAS on standby. Hearing this on the radio, the gang surrendered; the hostages were unharmed.

In the same year Mark negotiated a successful conclusion to the Spaghetti House restaurant siege in Knightsbridge, the case he recalled as the most difficult of his career. Having bungled the theft of the restaurant takings, a gang of gunmen had taken nine Italians hostage in a smelly, cramped basement. With the police ensuring that the gunmen received only bad news, such as the suggestion that one among them was selling information to newspapers, the hostage-takers surrendered as the siege entered its sixth day, without a shot being fired. Among those to congratulate Mark was Lord Mountbatten.

Mark's most surprising appearance as Commissioner was in a series of television commercials for car tyres that ran from 1974. His wooden endorsement ("I believe Goodyear tyres make a major contribution to road safety") ensured cult status for the campaign.

In retirement he held several directorships and wrote his memoirs, In the Office of Constable. He was awarded the Queen's Police Medal in 1965 and knighted in 1973.

Robert Mark married, in 1941, Kathleen Mary Leahy, who died in 1997. Their son and daughter survive him.

Surgical Scrub Jackets, Pants, Tops and Beyond

Since the 1940s, surgical uniforms were essential in operating rooms across the country. As doctors became aware of the importance of wound infection, they realized cleanliness in surgical situations was essentials. Wearing special garb ensured the surgeon was not wearing street clothes to perform surgery as they did in centuries gone by.

Nurses, surgeons and operating room personnel wear scrubs when they start scrubbing their hands for surgery. Just like the television show Scrubs, most hospital workers wear scrubs ranging from doctors to custodial staff. All hospital personnel working in a clean environment typically must wear scrubs. With the increased spread of MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) the use of scrubs is almost universal throughout American hospitals. Surgical scrubs are worn specifically in a medical environment. Non-surgical scrubs can be worn anywhere for any reason.

While scrubs were originally designed for surgeons, the popularity quickly spread to other medical professionals. Staff working at private medical offices, clinics, veterinary hospitals and dental offices also wear scrubs because they are convenient, clean and comfortable. In a hospital environment, scrub jackets are typically embroidered with the medical facility's name. Usually hospital scrubs are issued in the standard green and bluish green colors. In other medical facilities, often personnel can choose their own scrubs. You may see a nurse in a pediatrician's office wearing whimsical scrubs with cartoon characters. In the spring, your dentist's assistant may don a floral scrub top.

Because of their uniformity and practicality, scrubs are sometimes worn by prison staff. Carefree scrub pants and tops are easy to move around in and simple to maintain, making them the perfect uniform for prison employees. But scrubs have gone way beyond the surgical room, medical offices and prisons. For years, medical professionals wore their scrub jackets and pants home because they were so comfortable. Soon everyone wanted scrubs of their own. Pants with elastic or drawstring waists are comfortable as lounge wear, street wear and pajamas. The right scrub top in different designs expresses your favorite sports team, college or pattern. Everyday people wear scrubs everywhere. Just wash and dry scrubs and you are ready to go. Scrubs have even become a fashion statement among college students across the nation. From business people to grandparents, scrubs are a favorite with everyone. In sizes ranging from petite to plus, scrubs fit people of all shapes and sizes.

Surgical Scrubs Vs Medical Scrubs - Are They Different?

Although both terms, surgical scrubs and medical scrubs, may be used simultaneously to describe the same type of uniform worn by healthcare practitioners there is a difference. I have spent the past three decades wearing surgical scrubs as a surgical assistant as well as observing other healthcare personnel wearing medical scrubs. I now provide both surgical scrubs and medical scrubs as a retailer and began to notice the differences. The differences are primarily in terms of functionality, design and style. I will attempt to describe these differences.

First, in terms of functionality, the surgical scrub is designed for wear in the operating room or other surgical facility. In the surgical facility the patient remains stationary and the care givers must adapt in order to provide care. While providing care for these patients the care givers must have unrestricted movements. This requires bending, twisting, stretching, and contorting the body to reach the appropriate areas of the patient to provide care. Other duties require moving equipment running power cords that require pushing, pulling and even kneeling. These people are always on the move and rarely stationary. Because of these movements is it necessary to wear loose fitting and unrestrictive clothing. In contrast care givers that wear medical scrubs are usually providing care to patients that can move to accommodate the care giver's needs or they are sitting at a desk doing administrative duties. These people are not required to move their bodies as extreme as the surgical care givers. Therefore they are able to wear more restrictive clothing such as medical scrubs.

The design of surgical scrubs and medical scrubs are drastically different. Both are designed to accommodate the functionality of the uniform. Surgical Scrubs are usually a square cut top with a loose fitting v-neck design with simple patch pockets. The bottoms are straight leg. The waist is either a drawstring, elastic or a combination of both. The Drawstring is by far the most common. The pants usually have a single patch pocket. In contrast, medical scrubs are available in many designs. Most are designed with flares and curves to contour to the body. Tops are available in several neck line designs including rounded and wrap around. Pockets are usually flashy designs and shapes. Medical scrubs pants are designed with flare legs and curvature in the hip area. The pants always come with an elastic waist bands and are designed to be worn either high on the waist or low on the hips. Medical scrubs design limits the freedom of movement without confinements of the uniform.

The differences in styles between surgical scrubs and medical are the most drastic. Putting it simple surgical scrubs have no style. They are always a unisex style so they can be worn by both female and male care givers. Surgical scrubs are also always a solid color. The non-style of the surgical scrub enables the surgical care giver to perform at an optimal level without any restrictions from the uniforms. As far as medical scrubs the style is unlimited and vast. They are available in many colors, prints and styles. Medical scrubs are styled for the female and male separately. These styles are designed to fit the body as most other street clothes will and has appealing look. Medical scrubs styles compromises functionality for fashion appeal. The difference can be related to a sweatshirt and sweatpants (surgical scrubs) and a business suit.

Both terms are use interchangeable in everyday life. There are also many other terms that describe these uniforms such as hospital scrubs, doctor scrubs, and nursing scrubs to name a few. Regardless of the term used the important aspect of buying and wearing scrubs is to select the correct functionality, design and style that meet the needs of the care giver's duties. This is indeed much more important than the term.

Branding Operation - New York Times

So you’re about to have surgery. You’re probably nervous. But the medical staff seems calm and competent, and that’s reassuring, because you’re counting on them to make pretty serious decisions. You glance over at a nurse, and you notice the tag on her scrubs. “Grey’s Anatomy,” it says.

Whether you’re a fan of ABC’s hit hospital drama or not, you might find this . . . notable. A reader who had precisely this experience dropped me a line about it not long ago. “I asked her about it, and she said they were the most comfortable scrubs and very popular,” he wrote. “How odd is it that a profession that asks people to trust its members to take life-or-death actions would advertise a brand based on a TV show on the job?”

I would say: pretty odd. Even if you enjoy following the private tribulations and messy love lives of an imaginary hospital staff during prime time, you would probably prefer to see the people delivering your care as laser-focused pros leading a personal-distraction-free existence. But it turns out that “Grey’s Anatomy” scrubs have been popular with medical professionals pretty much from the moment they were first produced, in 2006. The collection won its maker, Barco Uniforms, the “best new line of the year” award from the Uniform Retailers Association, which I hadn’t heard of but which sounds impressive enough. The branded line has been a top seller for Barco, according to Kyle Weiner, executive vice president and chief operating officer for the company, who not surprisingly didn’t see anything odd about the situation the reader encountered. Barco, he informed me, has long been a leader and innovator in “the medical--scrub world.” The company says it is pushing “advanced research clothing technology” — arcTechnology — “applying various properties to fabrics at the fiber level, for outstanding, extended performance.”

And maybe more to the point, Weiner added, the company has a long relationship with the entertainment world, supplying scrubs used in a variety of movies and television shows at least since the 1960s. Barco, founded in 1929, also makes uniforms for Taco Bell and McDonald’s and claims to have created “the world’s first fashion scrubs” in 1965. Weiner says the idea of reversing that flow — from a uniform maker providing realistic scrubs to fictional worlds, to connoting a fictional world on real medical wear — came from Barco’s chief executive, Michael Donner, when “Grey’s Anatomy” was still in the concept stage. It’s a matter of luck that the show, now in its seventh season, turned out to be a hit.

Scrubs are a far less standard category of garment than might be assumed. Aside from the color you might think of as “scrubs green,” a huge variety of hues and patterns are offered by competing scrubs makers like Cherokee, Koi, Urbane and Peaches. You can also buy scrubs emblazoned with your college logo or a variety of Disney characters. Barco itself has multiple lines, including Crayola Threads, which, like the “Grey’s Anatomy” products, is a result of a licensing arrangement. You can also find medical garb that’s part of the Katherine Heigl Collection — she’s a former “Grey’s Anatomy” actress — but this line, now discontinued, was not manufactured by Barco. O, The Oprah Magazine recently gave a shout-out to the “sleek, chic duds” of Blue Sky Scrubs, a Texas company that offers earrings in addition to uniforms and boldly patterned scrub hats.

While scrubs with bright patterns, or even Mickey Mouse, make imminent sense in the context of a pediatrics ward, a TV-show-branded medical uniform seems different to me. When I asked a doctor friend of mine what she thought, she clearly considered the question itself odd: quality of medical care has nothing to do with the little tags on the professionals’ uniforms; the more insidious form of branding in hospitals are the freebies from drug-company sales reps. Fair enough. On the other hand, comments on the Consumed Facebook page, when I floated that reader’s story, represented a different view. “I’d prefer my fantasy/reality to not collide when in the hospital,” one said.

The disconnect here is that the consumer isn’t the patient; it’s the person wearing the scrubs. Like anybody else who wears a de facto uniform, that person wants to be comfortable, look good and perhaps, within the confines of dress-code strictures, express some personality. That’s why at least some medical professionals apparently seek out “Grey’s Anatomy” garb in specialty-uniform stores: a garment referencing a medical--focused hit from pop culture might be clever or amusing enough to catch the attention of colleagues, and that’s the idea — not to distract or disconcert the occasional sharp-eyed patient. For most patients, the branding is probably too small and subtle to notice, and I suppose if it made my caregivers happy, I would be fine with anything that put them in a good mood. But if this catches on and medical uniforms routinely reference medical-themed entertainments, let’s just agree on this: no “Nurse Jackie” scrubs, O.K.?

How to Choose Stylish Scrubs

Scrubs used to be strictly for surgeons and medical personnel. Because scrubs are so durable and comfortable, dental and veterinary staff started to wear them, too. The easy care nature of scrubs made them ideal for prison employees who also wear them. Now scrubs are a fashion statement across the country with everyone from college students to businessmen to grandmothers wearing them.

Scrubs have a carefree design to accommodate the split second demands of a medical professional. This easy wear quality makes them popular for personal wear, too. Students use scrubs as leisure wear while they study or lounge around the dorm. Men and women slip into scrubs as pajamas and street wear. Campers pack a set of lightweight scrubs as a convenient change of clothes. Scrubs are easy to transport, quick to put on and made in all sizes so their popularity continues to soar.

A basic set of scrubs includes a pair of pull-on pants and a v-neck, short sleeved shirt. Some scrubs have waist-length warm-up print scrub jackets with no lapels, long sleeves and stockinette cuffs. Scrub pants have either an elastic waist or a drawstring waist so they can be slipped on in seconds. This design makes them perfect for both emergency rooms and everyday leisure wear. Often hospital and medical personnel are assigned uniform scrubs. They might bear the embroidered name of the medical facility so they always remain on the premises. Typically these are surgical scrubs made for sterile medical purposes. Similar non-surgical scrubs are worn everywhere from dental offices to veterinary offices to around town.

How Do You Find The Right Size Scrubs? Pick up a scrub catalog or visit an online resource to find out the standard measurements used for scrub sizes. Hospital personnel come in all sizes and shapes so there are plus size scrub uniforms, tall sizes and petites. Measure your chest, waist and hips at their widest sections to determine the proper size scrubs. You can also compare your current clothes size to the scrubs sizing charts to figure out which sizes would fit best. For petite and tall sizes, measure your leg from below the hip to the ankle to find out the proper length for scrub pants.

What Style Scrubs Are Available? Leading scrubs brands such as Cherokee, Katherine Heigl, Grey's Anatomy, Landau and Urbane make all different types of scrubs in a rainbow of colors and designs. Avoid Being a Scrub by Wearing Cheap Landau Scrubs

Words are wonderful. We can add and subtract pieces from them, move them around in a sentence, and create entire books from them. One of the most fascinating aspects of words is the multiple meanings that they can have. For instance, consider the word "run." It can mean moving faster than walking, competing in a race, extending in a certain direction, installing a wire in a certain place, moving something through something else, using a machine to process something, participating as a candidate in an election, and so on.

SCRUB: DOING, BEING, AND WEARING

Another interesting word is "scrub." Typically, we first think of this word as a verb. We scrub dirt from a piece of material, we scrub flooring to make it sparkling clean, etc. However, a scrub can also be a small person, a mongrel, a short tree or shrub, or an athletic player who is not on a team's starting lineup.

In addition to being a scrub and doing a scrub, we can also wear a scrub. Besides being a person, animal, or tree, a scrub can also exist as clothing. Typically, surgeons, nurses, and other workers in an operating room, wear scrubs such as cheap landau scrubs. The term "scrubs" refers to surgery personnel that "scrubs in" during a surgery.

WEARING SCRUBS WITHOUT "SCRUBBING IN"

Interestingly, the use of scrubs in hospitals has expanded beyond surgery rooms. In fact, hospital personnel often wear scrubs in any environment that is clean as a bean. Some employees of dental and doctor's offices also wear scrubs.

Various personal not related to the medical field, wear scrubs. Certain prisons throughout the United States require their inmates to wear scrubs, as their prison uniform. Such attire is much more comfortable and hygienic than the old-fashioned horizontal uniforms featured in period movies. Other scrub-wearers can include unit clerks and custodians.

NOT ALL SCRUBS ARE THE SAME

What can we classify as "scrubs"? In the medical world, scrubs typically include the combination of uniform short-sleeve shirts and pants, which medical personnel wear. However, scrubs can also include other attire as well. That includes a long-sleeved jacket that is waist-length, with stockinette cuffs. Medical personnel refer to this article of clothing as a "warm-up jacket." However, regardless of its classification, virtually all American and Canadian patient care employees wear a type of scrubs, when they are on duty.

A NORTH AMERICAN TRADITION

While scrubs are particularly popular in North America, their use is not universal. For example, outside of the United States and Canada, scrubs are less common. Doctors often wear everyday clothes and a white doctor's coat, except when they perform surgery. Also, the uniforms of midwives and nurses in Europe typically include a dress, or a tunic and trousers.

While the word "scrubs" has numerous meanings, its function as a form of attire is particularly interesting. Scrubs are comfortable, sanitary, and versatile. Make sure to put quality scrubs on, regardless of whether your job includes "scrubbing in." Avoid being a scrub, by wearing one!

Riding the Wave

Riding the WaveThe medically minded Scrubs is an eccentric affair, populated by a zany cast of residents saving lives while learning life's little lessons in the process. Though lacking the show's oddball humor, its soundtrack is undeniably earnest, with a rich understanding of the pleasures and hardships faced by the hospital workers. The show's theme song, Lazlo Bane's quirky banjo twanger, sighs "I'm no Superman," as an uncharacteristically subdued Guided by Voices track cautions to "Hold on Hope." Ex-Men at Work frontman Colin Hay lends his sage advice with acoustic renditions of "Beautiful World" and the chestnut "Overkill," while Eels' "Fresh Feeling" begins with a tuning orchestra and turns into a tripping beatfest. The highlights, though, belong to Francis Dunnery, sounding uncannily like Peter Gabriel on the high-tea string elegance of "Good Life," and the Shins, with "New Slang," a humble campfire song. Puttering along pleasantly, Scrubs, while a little bland, is nevertheless a life-affirming collection that's as hopeful as the aspiring young doctors on the show. --Annie Zaleski

Medical Scrub Uniforms - Why Are They So Comfortable?

One of the funniest sitcoms on television today is the show titled Scrubs. In this show, a bunch of new and young doctors begin their careers with humorous follies and laughable mistakes. The cleverly written script exacerbates what life might be like as a doctor. Although the show is enjoyable, one can't help but notice how comfortable everyone looks in their inexpensive looking medical scrubs. All of the characters spend practically the entire show in cheap medical scrubs. Even the nurses are observed wearing cheap nursing scrubs. Thirty minutes of watching characters move around the hospital set with ease and comfort will make a person want to go to medical school just for the uniform. Such admiration of the medical scrubs leaves the mind to wonder; what makes scrubs so comfortable?

Obviously, scrubs were not designed for the sole purpose of comfort. Medical scrubs first began to appear in the twentieth century as an effort to maintain sterile environments and decrease the rate of infection. Originally, scrub type wear was designed to protect the doctor from the patient's illness more than to protect the patient from infection. As the movement for cleanliness in hospitals took over, more and more health professionals began wearing scrubs. Now, practically all medical professionals wear them. Cotton scrubs are so popular that lay people have begun to wear them as leisure clothing and pajamas.

One reason that medical scrubs attract comfort seekers could be due to the type of fabric used to make scrubs. Medical scrubs are available in fabrics like cotton, poplin and polyester. Most medical scrubs appear to derive from a blend of different fabrics. The greater the amount of the cotton in the blend, then the softer and more comfortable the scrub will feel. Scrubs, however, were not made exclusively for comfort but, instead, were developed for function. The function being, to reduce contamination and to maintain a healthy and sterile environment. For that reason, many scrub sets are made from fabrics that hide stains and absorb fluids. The durability of a scrub may also add to its appeal as leisurewear.

A second reason why scrubs are so comfortable could be due to the design of the outfit. Scrub designers focus on simplicity. Just by looking at the scrub uniform on a medical professional one can tell that it was designed for comfort. Nothing about scrubs is tight. The tops are generally loose and hang down to a comfortable length. The pants are baggy leaving room for the hips and thighs. The standard scrub set will consist of a square cut v-neck top and a basic drawstring pant Modern scrubs, however, are available in several different cuts. For example, scrub tops from Barco Scrubs are available in different wrap patterns. The wrap top adds some variety to the basic scrub tunic style. Medical professionals can also find scrub drawstring pants in a flared-leg design like the Cherokee Workwear Scrubs.

Whether it is the type of fabric or the design, medical scrubs are popular amongst not only doctors, but also the general public due to their comfort and design.
